Test And Tagging Includes:

Visual Inspection

Inspection

Before any electrical testing is performed, every appliance undergoes a thorough visual inspection to ensure it is safe for continued use.

This includes checking for:

✅ Obvious damage to plugs, sockets, cords, and enclosures
✅ Cuts, nicks, abrasions or exposed wiring
✅ Burn marks, discoloration, melting or overheating signs
✅ Loose, missing or cracked components
✅ Secure cord anchorage to prevent strain or internal wire damage
✅ Correct plug type and compliance markings
✅ Damage from moisture, chemicals or heat exposure
✅ Modifications or unapproved repairs
✅ Overall cleanliness to ensure cooling and safety features function as intended

If any fault is found, the item fails immediately — no electrical testing continues until the hazard is removed or repaired.

This step complies with AS/NZS 3760 requirements, helping businesses stay safe, compliant, and protected against electrical risks in the workplace.

Testing

Once the appliance passes visual inspection, we perform an electrical safety test using calibrated portable appliance testing (PAT) equipment.

This confirms the internal safety of the device and identifies any hidden risks that may not be visible externally.

Testing includes:

✅ Earth continuity testing

     > Ensures exposed metal parts are safely grounded

✅ Insulation resistance testing
      > Confirms electrical components are properly insulated to prevent shock

✅ Polarity testing (where applicable)
      > Verifies wiring is correctly connected for safe operation

✅ Leakage current testing
     > Detects unwanted electrical flow that could cause injury or faults

✅ RCD (Residual Current Device) testing
     > Ensures RCD units trip within the required safety time

All results are recorded to AS/NZS 3760 compliance standards. Any item that fails is removed from service and clearly identified — protecting your team and reducing workplace risk.

Testing
Tagging

Tagging

After an item passes all safety tests, it receives a durable compliance tag that includes:

✅ Unique Item / Asset ID
✅ Date tested
✅ Technician ID
✅ Next test due date
✅ Pass / Fail status clearly shown

This tag provides immediate visual confirmation that the equipment is safe for workplace use and compliant with inspection requirements under AS/NZS 3760.

Logging And Reporting

Every tagged asset is entered into our digital reporting system, providing your business with:

✅ Full compliance test report (PDF)
✅ Asset register containing all equipment details
✅ Online traceability with historical results
✅ Retest reminders before expiry
✅ Support for insurance audits and WorkSafe inspections

We make it simple to stay compliant — even as equipment is added, changed, or moved across sites.
